The Courageous Collective
The Courageous Collective is a monthly podcast that celebrates diverse women business owners, who dare to do things differently.
Created by comms expert and copywriter Rupa Bharadva (http://www.rupabharadva.com/)) and branding specialist Vardeep Edwards (http://www.thebrandingfox.com/)), the podcast will feature conversations with female founders from diverse backgrounds.
Each episode will focus on the stories behind the founders' businesses; their fears and challenges; how they've overcome them; how their roots and backgrounds have influenced decisions; their inspirations; and what they're yet to achieve.
Rupa and Vardeep created this podcast after noticing a big gap in magazines, at events and on podcasts. There are few women 'like them' represented in these spaces, despite there being many diverse women business owners!
The creative pair decided to take matters into their own hands. They've created a podcast platform to champion diverse female founders and celebrate their achievements.

#006 The Courageous Collective: Interview with Sophia Lorimer
In this episode, we meet sustainable stylist Sophia Lorimer, who empowers women to dress for themselves. Through her business, Fine Tuned Wardrobe, Sophia works with clients to let go of the clothes they never wear, and embrace the clothes that make them feel good.
Sophia’s business model is about encouraging clients to shop sustainably for items, rather than buying new. Unlike some of her competitors, Sophia’s emphasis is not focused on constantly buying and instead is about understanding her clients’ lifestyles and ensuring their wardrobe are a perfect match.
Listen to Sophia share more about discovering her business’s purpose and how she’s marketing herself to stand out in a sea of stylists, especially on Instagram. She talks about how she never thought she’d be a business owner and now she’d never go back to being an employee.
