The Courageous Collective
The Courageous Collective is a monthly podcast that celebrates diverse women business owners, who dare to do things differently.
Created by comms expert and copywriter Rupa Bharadva (http://www.rupabharadva.com/)) and branding specialist Vardeep Edwards (http://www.thebrandingfox.com/)), the podcast will feature conversations with female founders from diverse backgrounds.
Each episode will focus on the stories behind the founders' businesses; their fears and challenges; how they've overcome them; how their roots and backgrounds have influenced decisions; their inspirations; and what they're yet to achieve.
Rupa and Vardeep created this podcast after noticing a big gap in magazines, at events and on podcasts. There are few women 'like them' represented in these spaces, despite there being many diverse women business owners!
The creative pair decided to take matters into their own hands. They've created a podcast platform to champion diverse female founders and celebrate their achievements.

#005 The Courageous Collective: Interview with Anita Popat
Hello! We’re back with another episode of The Courageous Collective! And this time, we have the pleasure of introducing you to Anita Popat, a social media coach from Leicester. Anita works with small business owners to help them use LinkedIn and Instagram to get their dream clients. What sets Anita apart from other social media consultants is her deep understanding of the challenges faced by introverts, as she, too, identifies as one. Anita made a bold decision last year to focus specifically on clients who are introverts. By doing so, she’s been able to provide tailored support to her clients, helping them navigate social media while instilling them with confidence to showcase their authentic selves online.
Interestingly, Anita’s career journey wasn’t initially geared towards becoming self employed. Despite growing up in a family of entrepreneurs, she chose to pursue a marketing degree but wasn’t attracted to pursuing a corporate career. Instead, her creativity led to her building multiple side hustles, while managing a busy role, where effectively she operated as a one-woman marketing department. After 13 years, she realised her true calling lay in her building her own business.
